System Diagnostics & Testing
Health checks should be performed annually to assess any changes, faults and/or damage to your PV system. Low power production impacts ROI and effective strategies for identifying and correcting problems quickly are needed. Panel Washing
A National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) study that found dirty panels produce 25 percent less electricity than clean ones. Factors can vary but some include air pollution, agriculture, construction, pollen and sea salt accumulating on the panels. Most importantly, solar panels heavily soiled with bird droppings should be cleaned. Cleaning the panels can optimize energy production — by up to 35%.
Loose Mounting Bracket Check
Solar panels mount to your roof using a metal structure called a rack. The rack carries the weight of the panels and holds them to the roof using several sturdy bolt penetrations. Bolts can loosen in their mounts or become missing over time from natural elements that can cause rack failure. Pfister Energy's certified electricians will inspect and repair the rack to ensure your solar panels are running at peak performance levels.
Damaged Array Analysis
Heavy snow loads, strong winds and hailstorms can cause some major cracks on the PV modules surface. These cracks may lead to disconnection of cell parts which can cause a loss in the total power generated by the PV modules. Our licensed electricians and professional engineers utilize the latest techniques and equipment to inspect and collect data to determine best option to repair the solar cell.
Inverter Manufacturing Service
Lower operational cost and achieve greater efficiency in PV plant maintenance. Our in-house PV Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team provides field support and can operate the warranty service.
Thermographic inspection of photovoltaic systems, drastically improve the operating company’s return on investment. This allows the fast localization of potential defects at the cell and module level as well as the detection of possible electrical interconnection problems. We will inspect under normal conditions and shut down is not required.
